Registration Information & Agreement

Registration for the Children Come First Conference can be completed here: Attendee Registration.

This Registration Agreement (“Agreement”) sets forth the terms and conditions for Wisconsin Family Ties conferences. By registering or attending an Event, attendees agree to be bound by this Agreement. If individuals do not agree, they should not register for or attend the Event.

Attendees are responsible for paying the registration fee. Online registration requires credit card payment; Wisconsin Family Ties uses Stripe for processing and accepts American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. If authorized to pay by invoice, please provide the required information within your registration order. Payment is required prior to the event, except in the case of CLTS (Children’s Long-Term Support),

Wisconsin Family Ties reserves the right to deny participation in this event if there is an outstanding balance.

To edit registration, attendees can log in to their user-created profiles or contact Wisconsin Family Ties Event Manager Aimee at events@wisconsinfamilyties.org or 608-621-2265. For assistance with group registration, please contact the group leader.

Cancellation Policy

Conference registration fees minus a $75 administrative fee per adult registration will be refunded if the cancellation is made by 11:59 PM CST on October 5, 2024. No exceptions will be made for cancellations received after this date.

Non-Refundable Policy

Registration is non-refundable after September 6, 2024. No-shows will not be refunded.

CEUs and Meal Tickets Add-Ons Policy

CEUs can be canceled up until 11:59 PM CST on October 5, 2024. Meal tickets follow the same cancellation policy as conference registration, with no refunds after September 6, 2024.

Requesting Refunds or Cancellations

To request a refund or cancellation, please complete the Refund/Cancellation Request Form. For any other questions regarding cancellations or transfers, please contact Wisconsin Family Ties Event Manager Aimee at 608-621-2265 or events@wisconsinfamilyties.org

Guest Attendance Policy

All Event activities (including educational sessions, meal functions, exhibit hall, etc.) are exclusively reserved for Event Attendees. Non-registered guests (including children, family members, colleagues, etc.) are not allowed in the Event areas. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.

Badge Policies

Attendees must wear their badges at all times during the Event. Lost or misplaced badges can be reprinted onsite for a fee of $35.

Speakers may request guest badges in advance to assist with the distribution of presentation materials. Please note that guest badges do not grant access to meals or conference sessions. Guest badge requests must be submitted by 11:59 PM CST on Monday, September 23, 2024. 

Privacy

Wisconsin Family Ties is committed to data privacy and protecting your personal information. Information on how we collect, process, and use your data is included in the Wisconsin Family Ties Privacy Policy, which is hereby incorporated into this Agreement.

We collect your name and contact information for event administration purposes. If you are a presenter, we may collect additional information, including your name, employer, contact information, and photograph. We may also collect information provided by Event attendees who evaluated your performance as a presenter. As an attendee, speaker, or sponsor/exhibitor, we will keep a record of your participation to provide you with post-Event information.

Your personal data may be disclosed to third-party service providers engaged by Wisconsin Family Ties to assist in processing your registration and conducting the Event. Your contact information may be shared via an Event mobile app or attendee list. Your hotel reservation information may be shared between Wisconsin Family Ties and the hotel. Information you provide when registering for or participating in an Event managed or co-sponsored by parties other than Wisconsin Family Ties may be shared with those parties.

You may contact Wisconsin Family Ties at any time about any concern or question you have about our use of your information.

Payment Terms and PCI Compliance

The registration payments are processed by third-party provider(s). If you elect to pay by credit card, you are responsible for providing a valid credit card number. You represent and warrant that you are an authorized user of the credit card number provided and agree to pay all charges resulting from your order. We will comply with any credit card processing rules and privacy regulations.

Please do not email forms with credit card information. To protect your data and to comply with PCI standards, the Wisconsin Family Ties office will not accept emailed credit card information.

Photo/Audio/Video Release

By registering for or attending this Event, you acknowledge and consent to be recorded or photographed and authorize Wisconsin Family Ties to use your likeness, personal characteristics, and any other proprietary and publicity rights for any such purposes without the requirement of further notice, royalty, payment, or other compensation to or consent from you. This includes photographs, video, recordings, screenshots, written text, or verbal comments/questions on the virtual platform, social media, or emails (“Recordings”). By registering for or attending this Event, you also acknowledge that all Recordings are the property of Wisconsin Family Ties.

Wisconsin Family Ties reserves the right to use any Recording taken at our Events, without the expressed written permission of those included within the Recording. We may use the Recording in publications or other media material produced, used, or contracted, including, but not limited to: brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, social media, emails, etc. Consenting to Recording includes the use, editing, copying, publishing, and/or exhibition of the Recordings which may include your voice, name, and/or likeness, in any and all forms of media. To ensure the privacy of individuals, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject.

Code of Conduct

Introduction

Wisconsin Family Ties is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behavior and applies to all attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, staff, and volunteers.

Expected Behavior

  • Respectful Conduct: Treat all participants with respect and consideration, valuing a diversity of views and opinions.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor and communicate constructively.
  • Inclusivity: Foster a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and accepted.
  • Compliance with Policies: Adhere to all applicable policies and guidelines set forth by Wisconsin Family Ties.

Unacceptable Behavior

  • Harassment: Harassment of any form is not tolerated.
  • Discrimination: Discrimination or denigration is prohibited.
  • Disruption: Disruptive behavior that interferes with the event or the participation of others is not allowed.
  • Unauthorized Use of Materials: Unauthorized use or reproduction of copyrighted materials presented at Wisconsin Family Ties events is prohibited.

Prohibited Items

Guns and weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited at the event. Attendees found in possession of such items will be asked to leave the premises immediately. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants.

Consequences of Violations

Violations may result in immediate removal from the event without refund, restriction from future events, or other actions deemed appropriate by Wisconsin Family Ties. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement authorities.

Reporting Violations

Report violations to a Wisconsin Family Ties staff member or volunteer, or via email to events@wisconsinfamilyties.org.

Conclusion

By participating in Wisconsin Family Ties events, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. We aim to create a positive and inclusive experience for all participants, and your cooperation is essential in achieving this goal. Thank you for your commitment to upholding these standards of behavior.

COVID-19 Duty of Care

By attending our Event, you agree to adhere to any health and safety protocols mandated by local authorities or event organizers. While masks and temperature checks are no longer required, we encourage all attendees to practice good hygiene, maintain appropriate physical distancing where possible, and refrain from attending if feeling unwell or recently exposed to COVID-19.

Website Terms

Access to and use of the Site and any other Wisconsin Family Ties websites linked to or referenced during the Event, or any materials distributed by Wisconsin Family Ties during the Event, shall be subject to the terms of the applicable Terms of Use and Privacy Policy available on the Wisconsin Family Ties website.

Liability Waiver, Release and Indemnity

By registering for and participating in the Event, you warrant that you are age 18 or above and freely waive, release from liability, assume all risks, and covenant not to sue Wisconsin Family Ties and its officers, directors, employees, members, and agents (the “Released Parties”) from any liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising out of your participation in the Event, except in cases of gross negligence by the Released Parties. You further agree to indemnify and hold the Released Parties harmless from any liability arising out of your negligence or misconduct.

Recommendations given and views expressed by third-party speakers, sponsors, and/or exhibitors are their own. Wisconsin Family Ties in no way endorses such recommendations or views and shall have no liability for any advice given or views expressed.

YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOUR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK, AND THE EVENT, AND ALL INFORMATION AND MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED “AS-IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.

General

Wisconsin Family Ties reserves the right to change, amend, add, or remove any of the above terms in its sole discretion and without prior notice. If one or more of the conditions outlined in this Agreement should become invalid, the remaining conditions will continue to be valid and apply. This Agreement applies to all Event participants, including but not limited to, attendees, speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors.

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement among the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior agreements, oral or written. This Agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the parties, their successors, and assigns. This Agreement may not be assigned without Wisconsin Family Ties’ express, prior written consent.

This Agreement and any disputes arising under it shall be governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin.
